My Polaris Ranger is one of those things that gets used almost every day around our place. And especially this time of year, when we’re getting ready for whitetail season, it seems like I’m constantly loading it up and heading somewhere.
One day it might be fertilizer and food plot seed. The next it’s trail cameras, a pole saw, rakes, shovels, tree stands or whatever else I need for the project I’m working on.
Since putting an Alpha Rack on my Ranger, I keep having the same thought: I really wish I would’ve gotten one sooner.

It sounds simple, but probably the biggest difference is that I just have more usable space. Before, everything went into the bed. And when you start throwing bags of seed, tools, stands and totes back there, it doesn’t take long before everything is piled on top of everything else.
Now I can put some of the bigger or less-used stuff up on the rack and keep the things I’m constantly grabbing down below. It keeps me more organized, but honestly, I think the bigger benefit is that I just bring more stuff with me.
Because there’s nothing worse than getting all the way out to a food plot or stand site, starting a project and realizing the one tool you need is sitting back at the house. I’ve done that plenty of times.

Having the extra carrying capacity means I’m less worried about trying to decide what I can fit. I load up what I think I’m going to need — and usually a few things I might need — and go.
That’s really where the Alpha Rack has become less of an accessory and more of another tool for me. It helps me get more done when I’m in the field.
And as we get out of preseason work and into actually hunting, the stuff I’m carrying changes, but the rack doesn’t become any less useful.
Instead of fertilizer, seed and tools, now it’s bows, packs, totes, stands and hunting gear. And hopefully at some point during the season, the bed of the Ranger needs to be cleared out for the best reason of all — to haul a deer back out of the field.
That’s probably the best way I can describe what I like about the Alpha Rack. It just makes my Ranger more useful.
From food plots and preseason projects to hunting season and hopefully a successful recovery, it gives me more room to carry the things I need and helps me get more out of a machine I already use all the time.
And after using it for a while now, I’m pretty sure my only complaint is that I didn’t put one on sooner.
