I’m now in my third year of using Alpha Innovations products, and after countless hours in the field, I wanted to share my honest thoughts.

Simply put — I can’t imagine owning a UTV without Alpha’s rack systems and accessories. They’ve completely transformed how I work and travel on my property.

Benefits of the Rear Rack

The first thing you notice is the immediate doubling of your bed space. The second is the flexibility — thanks to the modular design, you can set it up for almost any job or adventure.

For example:

  • I installed a chainsaw mount inside the rack. It takes up zero bed space, stays organized, and is totally out of the way.
  • I added Milwaukee Packout plates to the outside for all my tools. Again — no lost bed space, and everything is secure and accessible.

Whether I’m hauling firewood or seed for food plots, I’ve always got more than enough room to work efficiently.

Another big plus? Lighting. The rear rack supports several add-ons, making night work easy.

One of my favorite setups is the Road Shower. While it’s a third-party accessory, Alpha manufactures specific mounts for it — and having pressurized water on my UTV is a game-changer. My farm is remote with no running water, so I end up using it nearly every trip.

And then there’s the Turtlebox mount. I like having music while I work, and this mount keeps my speaker rock solid — no more bouncing around in the bed during transport.

Benefits of the Front Rack

While the rear rack handles most of the heavy lifting, the front rack adds a whole new layer of functionality — especially for work, hunting, and backcountry travel.

  • Quick-Access Storage
Perfect for gear you need fast — gloves, rope, tow straps, or a first-aid kit — without digging through your rear bed.
  • Balanced Load Distribution
Carrying weight up front helps balance your rig. It improves traction on hills or uneven ground and reduces front-end lift when towing or climbing.
  • Accessory Mounting
I’ve mounted smaller items like a winch controller, recovery boards, and even a weatherproof box for snacks or a power bank. It’s also a great spot for a compact toolbox.
  • Hunting & Scouting
Hunters will appreciate it as a mounting spot for binoculars, rangefinders, or a gun boot/bow mount — keeping the rear bed clear for larger gear.
  • Lighting & Visibility
The front rack is an ideal place for forward-facing LED light bars or cube lights. The difference at night on trails, fields, or in the woods is huge.

Final Thoughts

After three years, I can confidently say Alpha racks are more than just UTV add-ons — they’re a complete upgrade to how you work and travel. They’re durable, modular, and practical in ways that actually make life easier. I’m still finding new ways to use mine, and I honestly wouldn’t want to run a UTV without them.
